Publications Related to MOXIE at HANDSFreeNurse
Informatics Research Agenda
Gail Keenan, PhD, RN, FAAN (Principal)
These publications reflect our team’s extensive knowledge and expertise, uniquely equipping us to carry out the vision for MOXIE within EHRs. Our achievements include designing, implementing, and evaluating an electronic care planning system across four hospital settings, integrating standardized nursing languages into electronic records, and developing a pipeline to automatically map local terminologies to standardized terms in EHRs. Additionally, we have created and assessed clinical decision support systems, engaged in policy advocacy, and employed creative testing methods including simulation and garnering nationwide representative samples for conducting surveys and remotely evaluating electronic components of EHRs. Our skills further extend to conducting usability testing, building databases, developing user interfaces, and data extraction. Moreover, we utilize artificial intelligence—including predictive modeling, machine learning, and large language models—to support nursing practice.
